WELCOME MESSAGE
With great joy and a profound sense of responsibility, I warmly welcome you to the official website of the Biblical Research and Innovation Network for Africa (BRAINFA).
BRAINFA was founded with a deep conviction — that biblical scholarship must be both intellectually rigorous and contextually grounded in the lived realities of African communities.

Our Three Strategic Arms
BRAINFA advances its mission through three interconnected strategic arms that promote theological education, scholarly publishing, and accessible digital resources across Africa. The Academic Publishing, Theological Education, and Multimedia-Theological Resource arms collaborate to promote sound biblical scholarship, empower Christian leaders, and bridge the gap between academic theology and everyday faith. Each arm and its key initiatives is outlined as follows.

Academic Publishing
Bibliotheca Publishers is an arm of BRAINFA dedicated to publishing books, journals, and scholarly works focused on African biblical and theological scholarship. Bibliotheca Publishers publishes academic books mainly in electronic form and in print form on demand. • Bibliotheca Publishers currently publishes two peer-reviewed academic journals: the African Journal of Religion, Ethics and Theology (AJORET), which publishes thrice a year, and the African Journal of Biblical Studies, Translation, Linguistics and Intercultural Theology (AJOBIT), which publishes twice a year.

Theological Education
BRAINFA is committed to making quality theological education accessible and affordable to all. To this end, two forms of theological education will be rolled out. • Domus Theologica: Theology at Your Doorstep (starting January 2026) This is a free online theological learning platform that makes theological education accessible for all, especially those unable to attend formal institutions. Key offerings include: • Free digital courses, podcasts, and video lectures • Theology blogs and live webinars • Courses on biblical interpretation, ethics, mission, church growth, and more All courses are taught by experienced theologians and practitioners, with interactive assignments and multimedia support. The aim is to equip everyday believers with sound biblical teaching and real-life application. • African Institute for Biblical, Theological and Translation Studies (AIBITTS) (planning underway) AIBITTS is a research and education institute under BRAINFA that: • Advances scholarly work in biblical, theological, and translation studies • Offers certificate, diploma, and degree programs in biblical, theological, and translation studies. • Hosts conferences, workshops, and interdisciplinary research Vision: To be a center of excellence in biblical, theological, and translation studies in Africa and beyond

Multimedia Theological Resources
As part of its commitment to making biblical scholarship both accessible and transformative, BRAINFA utilizes multimedia and digital tools to expand the reach of theological education and reflection across the continent. Documentaries Engaging Christian documentaries that explore biblical themes, church history, theological concepts, and contemporary faith issues in Africa. These visual stories combine academic depth with creative storytelling to educate, inspire, and inform. These are published through our YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@BrainforAfrica). Research Archives A growing digital repository of scholarly works, academic articles, and theological publications. The archive is a valuable resource hub for students, researchers, pastors, and anyone interested in contextual African theology. Contributors are welcome to submit both published and unpublished works. Sermons A curated collection of sermons in video, audio, and text formats that provide spiritual nourishment and biblical teaching for individuals and congregations. BRAINFA may invite pastors, preachers, and Christian educators to share their messages with a wider audience. Through these platforms, BRAINFA bridges the gap between academic theology and everyday faith, using media to bring biblical truths into homes, churches, and communities across Africa.
